Cube steak is best when fried using an egg wash, flour and panko.  Fry for 2-3 minutes per side depending upon size and number of steaks in the pan.  Use at least 2 inches of a healthy fry oil.


Cube steak is cut from the top round.  These are steaks that are run through a mechanical cubing tenderizer and intended for southern country fried cooking.
